DLA form help for children · England & Wales
Help with the DLA form for your child, sorted.
The child DLA form is 40 pages long. Tell us about your child's day and night in a short guided conversation, and we prepare clear, truthful answers for each question on the DLA1A form, the same day.
- For children under 16 in England and Wales
- Care, supervision by day and night, walking (age 3+) and school, each compared with a child the same age
- Done for you: answers mapped to question numbers, evidence checklist and letters
- One-off fee from £49. No success fee.
Your words only — you approve every word before you send.
We only use what you tell us. You see each answer next to what you said, add detail where it's thin, and approve every one. Nothing is sent by us.
How it works
- Choose your service and pay. Secure card payment.
- Answer simple questions about your child. Mornings, toileting, meals, medicines, safety, school, and nights. Short replies are fine.
- We prepare your answers. Our system writes clear answers for each DLA1A question, using only what you told us, and always comparing with a child of the same age without a disability.
- You check and send it. Edit anything, sign, and post it free to Freepost DWP DLA Child.

Common questions
Who can get DLA for children?
Children under 16 who need extra looking after or have walking difficulties because of a health condition or disability, living in England or Wales. Anyone 16 or over applies for PIP instead. Check the rules on GOV.UK.
Why compare with a child of the same age?
DLA is about the extra care, supervision or mobility help your child needs compared with other children their age. Our questions are built around that.
Is a person involved?
No. Your answers are drafted by our system from what you tell us, guided by the DLA1A questions and DWP's published notes. You review everything before it goes anywhere.
Do you send the form for me?
No. You check, sign and send the form yourself. We never fill in National Insurance numbers, bank details or signatures.
Can you guarantee an award?
No. DWP makes the decision.
We live in Scotland
Sorry, we don't cover Scotland. There, children's DLA has been replaced by Child Disability Payment from Social Security Scotland.
Are you part of DWP?
No. FormSorted is an independent service, not affiliated with DWP or GOV.UK.
What happens to my child's information?
We use it only to prepare the form, with your explicit consent, and delete it after 90 days or sooner if you ask. See the privacy notice.
